„Theatre should not only interpret reality, but also help to change it.“
Augusto Boal
During this workshop, we will focus exclusively on Invisible Theatre. This is a form of the Theatre of the Oppressed, which originated in Brazil in the 1960s and was created by Augusto Boal.
Invisible Theatre can be performed anywhere a potential audience is found—whether in restaurants, markets, public transport, supermarkets, or even within a traditional theatre. During the workshop, we will collectively decide which specific scenes will be performed and in which locations, followed by thorough preparation.
It can directly address social issues.
It encourages people to interact, even if they have never done so before.
It fosters the civic courage and the bravery needed to speak up.
You can support a specific cause that might otherwise be ignored.
The workshop also includes humorous scenes, as a great atmosphere is built in places where people laugh. We guarantee fun throughout the entire process! Additionally, participants will experience the incredible atmosphere of the 30th edition of the Žlutomodrý kocour 2026 festival.
Who is it for? The acting workshop is designed not only for actors and screenwriters but for anyone who has previously only experienced theatre from the audience.
Language Information: The workshop will be conducted in Czech. However, it is also suitable for participants who speak English, German, Slovak, Hungarian, or Polish—as well as those who do not speak at all.
